The museum focuses on Wayne County people, events and artifacts. It features rotating exhibits as well as a permanent Civil War exhibit featuring a Confederate camp scene and a diorama of the Battle of Goldsborough Bridge. The building, built in 1927, was the home of the USO during World War II.
In the museum visitors will find written documents, photographs, books, and other artifacts that span from 1880
